Revered for its lustre and soft hand, the natural qualities of wool from ancient Karakul sheep are honoured through restraint and refinement. One-of-a-kind designs are handwoven by master artisans using an unconventional wool foundation that lends the rugs the relaxed appeal of fabric. Complementing undyed wool with an earth-toned palette, the rugs spend nearly two months in the sun while the wool establishes a patina. The patina continues to develop over the lifetime of the rug, growing more beautiful with the passing of time.
